Resting and Healing

Resting and Healing

  • Hp and hit die recovery does not occur between sessions unless the PC rents a room at an inn within town. The quality of an inn is reflected in its cost, and higher quality provides other benefits to quality of life.

    • Note: The time between sessions does not matter, the price is an approximation.

  • Sleeping outside: If a PC opts to sleep outside town they risk the dangers of the wilderness.

    • During carousing: At the end of the session, the referee rolls for an outdoor encounter. The PC also goes last in the first round of the next encounter.

Inn Options

Staying at different inns with different qualities of offerings help in different ways.

  • Peasant (10 gp): Hp and hit die are recovered, but the flea bites and poor sleep make you groggy and irritable. Go last in the first round of the next encounter.

  • Merchant (50 gp): Hp and hit die are recovered.

  • Noble (100 gp): Hp and hit die are recovered and you have a spring in your step! You may re-roll initiative on the next encounter.

  • Royal (200 gp): Hp and hit die are recovered. You live briefly as though you were the spoiled heir of a rich ruler. You may re-roll initiative on the next encounter. Not only do you have a spring in your step, but if you have suffered from CON loss, you may recover 1 point of CON (up to your initial CON score).
